The Schrödinger wave functionals of Coulomb and Newtonian fields sourced by quantum matter
The speaker will present a derivation of the quantum state wave functionals of electromagnetism and linearized gravitational fields sourced by quantum matter in the Newtonian limit, possibly in superposition. The results provide a complementary perspective for the mechanism of the gravity-mediated entanglement in the laboratory. For the future, it could open up other novel possibilities of testing nonclassical features of gravity.
If time permits, Lin-Qing Chen would also like to discuss a preliminary on-going work of understanding quantum reference frames for gauge fields and the relationship with "edge modes" from the quantum state of the electromagnetism field.
