The causality condition and its violation

The causality condition states that the outcome of a present experiment should not depend on any future experiment and it is an important assumption in standard quantum theory.

In this talk, I discuss the assumptions under which it holds and examine which types of measurements can lead to its violation. Since this failure is connected to temporally extended or spacetime measurements, I adopt a path integral formalism to study this problem and to examine conditions on measurements that avoid its violation.
