Quantum Geometry, Observables and Symmetry-Resolved Entanglement

What is a local subsystem in quantum gravity? How do we define its entanglement entropy?

In this talk, I consider a simple model of quantum geometry - the quantum polyhedron - and show how SU(2) symmetry-resolved observables define diffeomorphism-invariant regions, together with a precise notion of geometric entanglement entropy. The model illustrates in a concrete way the interplay of symmetries, observables and entanglement.
